Gator Step Gouge

The AMS Gator Soil Probe is a robust one-piece sampler designed for the rapid collection and inspection of representative soil cores. Its unique hinged jaw design combines the penetration characteristics of a closed-end soil probe with the easy sample access of an open-ended sampler.

Once the sample has been collected, the hinged section opens to expose the entire soil core, allowing easy inspection and removal without forcing the sample through the probe body. A side foot peg assists penetration into firm soils, while the rubber-gripped cross handle provides comfortable operation during repeated sampling.

The Gator Probe is particularly well suited to composite soil sampling and collection of representative cores for subsequent laboratory analysis.
