YSI ProSolo Optical Dissolved Oxygen Meter
The ProSolo is YSI’s most advanced portable dissolved oxygen field meter, developed as the next generation replacement for the ProODO. Designed for reliable and accurate dissolved oxygen measurement, it is ideal for aquaculture, coastal and estuarine monitoring, wastewater, and wetland sampling.
Available as part of complete kit assemblies, the ProSolo can be paired with ODO/T or ODO/CT probe assemblies and includes a soft-sided carry case for convenient field use.
Please Note: The ProSolo handheld is not compatible with ProDSS 4-port or ProSwap 1-port cable assemblies. This listing is for the handheld instrument only. Probes, cables, and accessories are sold separately.
Flexible Sampling Solutions
The ProSolo connects to any ODO/T or ODO/CT probe assembly, with user-replaceable cable lengths from 1 to 100 metres, offering flexibility across a wide range of applications. It can also be paired with the ProOBOD Optical BOD probe for laboratory-based BOD analysis.
ODO/T – Optical dissolved oxygen and temperature
ODO/CT – Optical dissolved oxygen, conductivity, and temperature for salinity-compensated measurements
Advanced Optical DO Technology
Using luminescent optical dissolved oxygen technology, the ProSolo delivers improved performance over traditional electrochemical sensors. Because oxygen is not consumed during measurement, there is no need for stirring or flow dependency, resulting in more stable and accurate readings.
Key advantages include:
Higher accuracy with no stir dependence
Reduced calibration drift
Lower maintenance with no membranes or electrolyte
Smart sensor technology automatically recognises connected probes and stores calibration data, allowing probes to be swapped between handhelds without recalibration.
Built for Field & Compliance Work
The ProSolo is engineered for demanding environments with a rugged IP-67 waterproof housing, military-spec cable connectors, and proven drop resistance. It also supports EPA-approved methodologies for dissolved oxygen, BOD, and CBOD compliance reporting.
