Soil Solution Cups

Purchase

ecoTech Soil Solution Suction Cups are designed for the repeated extraction of soil pore water directly from the soil profile, allowing dissolved nutrients, contaminants and other solutes to be monitored over time without repeatedly disturbing the sampling location.

Installed at the required monitoring depth, a controlled vacuum draws soil solution through the porous cup and into a collection system for subsequent laboratory analysis. ecoTech offers different porous materials so the sampler can be selected according to the target analytes and monitoring requirements.

Suction Cup Options

Plastic – Polyamide membrane suction cups are particularly suited to inorganic compounds with high sorption coefficients, including heavy metals, metalloids and phosphate, as well as major nutrients.

Ceramic – A durable and cost-effective option for solutes with relatively low adsorption, including nitrate, chloride and bromide.

Borosilicate Glass – Manufactured without additives or bonding materials, glass suction cups have a low specific surface and low sorption capacity, making them particularly suitable for organic solutes such as DOC and pesticides.
