Soil Redox Probe

Purchase

The ecoTech Redox Electrode according to Mansfeldt is designed for continuous measurement of redox potential (Eh/ORP) directly within soils. Suitable for permanent field and laboratory installations, the electrode can operate under both unsaturated and water-saturated conditions.

The compact probe incorporates a normalised 99.95% platinum measuring surface, designed to provide good contact with minimally disturbed soil and improve reproducibility between measurement locations. The measuring electrode is separated from the reference electrode, allowing the reference system to be maintained or replaced without disturbing the permanently installed ORP probe.

Developed in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Tim Mansfeldt of the University of Cologne, the system is particularly suited to long-term studies where changes in soil oxidation and reduction conditions need to be monitored continuously.
