LORENTZ Energy Leachate Pumps

Serviced by Flux Purchase

LORENTZ Energy pumping systems provide a high-efficiency, intelligent solution developed specifically for the challenges of landfill leachate extraction. Since their introduction to Ireland, systems supplied by Flux Enviro now account for more than 75% of total leachate extraction in Northern Ireland.

Designed to overcome many of the reliability, maintenance and energy challenges associated with air pumps and conventional electric submersibles, LORENTZ systems combine highly efficient pump and motor technology with intelligent control, flexible power options and remote pump management.

Built for Challenging Leachate

Leachate can present difficult pumping conditions, with solids, deposits, aggressive fluids and the accumulation of “flubber” contributing to blockages, reduced performance and premature failure of conventional pumps.

LORENTZ Energy pumps are designed to operate reliably in these challenging conditions, reducing maintenance intervention and providing a robust solution for both individual wells and larger landfill leachate extraction networks.

Intelligent Pump Control

LORENTZ smart pump controllers can use sensor inputs to automatically manage pump operation according to liquid level, pressure and site requirements. Variable-speed control allows pumping rates to be matched to individual wells rather than relying on simple on/off operation.

Systems can provide:

  • Variable-speed and flow control

  • Automatic level and pressure-based operation

  • Dry-run and system protection

  • Operating and performance data

  • Alarm and fault notification

  • Remote configuration and control

  • Remote pump monitoring and management

  • Multi-pump and multi-site management

High Efficiency & Flexible Power

High-efficiency pump, motor and control technology can significantly reduce electrical consumption compared with conventional leachate pumping arrangements, particularly across sites operating multiple extraction wells.

The low power requirement also creates greater flexibility in how systems are powered. Installations can operate from mains electricity, solar power or combined mains/solar configurations, providing practical options for remote wells where extending conventional electrical infrastructure would be difficult or expensive.

More Than a Pumping System

Effective leachate management requires more than selecting a pump. Flux Enviro combines practical experience of leachate measurement and monitoring, landfill environmental management and regulatory expectations with previous advisory experience supporting landfill operators. This provides an understanding of both the operational challenges at individual wells and the wider monitoring, compliance and reporting requirements within which a leachate extraction system must operate.

This experience allows us to consider the complete application — including leachate levels and variability, pumping rates, well condition, monitoring requirements, available power, control philosophy, telemetry and site infrastructure — when developing a pumping solution.

Systems can be provided on a supply-only or supply-and-maintain basis, with installation, commissioning, monitoring integration, remote connectivity and ongoing maintenance available where required.

The result is not simply a replacement pump, but an integrated leachate management solution focused on effective control, regulatory compliance, reliability, energy efficiency and reduced whole-life operating cost.
