The Gill MaxiMet GMX501 is a compact, low-power weather station combining ultrasonic wind speed and direction, air temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure and solar radiation measurement in a single instrument. Building on the GMX500, the addition of an integrated pyranometer makes the GMX501 particularly suited to applications where solar radiation is an important component of the meteorological dataset.

Designed for fixed and remote installations, the GMX501 is well suited to environmental monitoring, agriculture, research, hydrology and remote monitoring networks. Its integrated design simplifies installation compared with conventional multi-sensor weather stations, while low power consumption and multiple digital communication options support integration with data loggers and telemetry systems.

The GMX501 measures wind speed, wind direction, air temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure and solar radiation, with additional calculated meteorological parameters available from the instrument.
