GeoSorb Product Recovery

The GeoSorb is designed to recover hydrocarbons from 2" or 4" (5cm or 10cm) and larger wells. The GeoSorb System consists of a stainless steel screened cage assembly and a product selective absorbent. The system is lowered down the well where it passively absorbs free product.

The Geosorb system is simple to use;

1. GeoSorb sock installed into stainless steel screen assembly
2. Attach cord/rope to the screen assembly hanger
3. Slowly lower the assembly to enable maximum recovering from the product. The Geosorb should be positioned to accommodate water level changes over time
4. Retrieve screen assembly and remove GeoSorb for appropriate disposal. The GeoSorb screen can be decontaminated in preparation for re-use

Geosorb socks should be used in conjunction with the screen assembly for optimal product recovery.
