Gas Vapour Probe
The AMS Gas Vapor Probe (GVP) Kit is a portable system designed for shallow soil gas and vapour sampling in easily penetrable soils. It provides a simple method for preliminary soil gas investigations and the collection of subsurface vapour samples.
During installation, a solid liner rod is positioned inside the probe to prevent soil entering the sampling pathway as the probe is advanced. Once the required sampling depth has been reached, the driving components are removed and the supplied barbed adapter is fitted for connection to sampling tubing.
The modular stainless steel probe system can be advanced manually using the supplied cross handle, with an optional compact slide hammer available where additional driving force is required.
