Flux Enviro RBC Flumes provide a highly accurate and efficient solution for open channel flow measurement in environmental, industrial and water resource applications. The RBC (Replogle Bos-Cleven) Flume was developed as an efficient alternative to traditional open channel flow measurement devices, offering improved accuracy, lower head loss, and simpler installation. Today, RBC Flumes are widely used in environmental and water management applications, including wastewater treatment, stormwater networks, industrial effluent monitoring, irrigation systems, quarry discharges, peatland monitoring and surface water studies.

Their proven hydraulic performance, low maintenance requirements, and compatibility with modern instrumentation have made RBC Flumes a standard choice for long-term open channel flow measurement worldwide. The RBC design offers excellent sensitivity at low flows while maintaining accuracy across a broad operating range, making it ideal for continuous monitoring and regulatory compliance. RBC flumes are renowned for delivering high accuracy flow data in peatland applications, an area in which other technologies and methods struggle with maintenance requirements and interference in the case of ultrasonic or doppler sensors.

Flow is determined via continuous measurement of water level/stage using a water level logger or vented sensor deployed within the integrated stilling well. Sill referenced water stage values are used within the rating equation to calculate flow output either via manual data processing or automatically using our online data portals. Alternatively, flow values can be interpreted from look up tables supplied with the flume.

Flux Enviro RBC flumes are designed and manufactured in house using high quality construction materials (316L stainless steel, fully seam welded). All flumes are supplied with a rating table (electronic copy), printed gauge board and stilling well compatible with most pressure sensors. Larger models are supplied with integrated lifting eyes and handles for ease of loading and transport on site. Available for purchase as flume only or as a turnkey flow monitoring system comprising high accuracy level sensor, data logger and telemetry with installation from our engineers.

Five flumes are available covering flow rates to 8.7, 24, 49, 86 and 145 L/s.
