Flow Probe Velocity Meter

The Flow Probe is a portable water velocity meter designed for velocity measurements in rivers, streams, canals, stormwater systems, wastewater networks, and industrial process applications. Using a proven positive displacement sensor, it delivers reliable velocity measurements across a wide range of field conditions, making it an ideal tool for hydrological studies, flow investigations, and environmental monitoring.

Accurate & Reliable Velocity Measurement

At the heart of the Flow Probe is the rugged Turbo-Prop sensor, designed to provide highly accurate velocity measurements while resisting debris build-up. Housed within a protective 2-inch diameter casing, the sensor can be positioned directly on the bed of a stream or pipe to accurately measure shallow flows from depths as low as 50 mm (2 inches).

The removable Turbo-Prop can be easily cleaned or replaced, minimising maintenance and downtime.

Designed for Efficient Fieldwork

Lightweight telescopic handles, available in lengths from 3 to 14 feet, allow comfortable operation across a variety of monitoring locations. An integrated staff gauge provides instant depth readings while ensuring accurate sensor positioning during measurements.

The handheld water velocity computer features a clear LCD display and intuitive four-button operation for simple field use.

Smart Data Collection

The Flow Probe continuously measures velocity at one reading per second, displaying a true running average for improved measurement accuracy. Up to 30 sets of readings can be stored for later review, making it easy to document and compare field measurements.
